1. Goorba Services: Our Goorba services are vital to ensuring dignified rituals for our departed loved ones. We operate two operational Ghusl facilities, one located at the Al-Ameen Musjid in U8, Phoenix, and another at the Phoenix Muslim Cemetery. With the support of dedicated drivers and volunteers, we provide transportation of the mayyath and assistance with Ghusl. Additionally, we conduct annual Ghusl classes for both men and women in Phoenix and neighboring communities, with many graduates volunteering their services as part of our male and female Ghusl teams.
2. Phoenix Muslim Cemetery: As the primary Muslim burial facility for Phoenix and surrounding areas, the Phoenix Muslim Cemetery is managed solely by the Phoenix Goorba Society. We have a team of three full-time personnel responsible for the maintenance and cleaning of the cemetery grounds. Additionally, we offer services such as the sale of headstones, printed nameplates, and grave barriers, ensuring the proper commemoration of our departed loved ones.
3. Al-Ameen Musjid (Unit 8, Phoenix): Our headquarters, the Al-Ameen Musjid, serves as a hub for religious, social, and educational activities. We offer daily Salah facilities, including Jummah prayers, with a dedicated area for women. Additionally, we host Taraweeh and Eid Salahs, as well as programs to commemorate auspicious nights and Dhikr gatherings on Thursdays and Sundays. Our function hall is available for hire, complete with a cooking yard for events and gatherings.
4. Education: Education is a cornerstone of our community’s growth and development. Our Madressa classes cater to children of the surrounding area, with four qualified Muallimas employed by the Phoenix Goorba Society. The Principal of the Madressa volunteers his services free of charge, ensuring quality education for our youth. We offer free Madressa classes for children and adults, with programs for beginners and advanced learners. Additionally, through our Zakah Fund, we provide partial bursaries for deserving and needy beneficiaries pursuing university studies.
5. Welfare Programme: Our welfare program is dedicated to providing assistance to those in need within our community, particularly focusing on the Unit 7 & 8 areas of Phoenix. We distribute monthly hampers to needy beneficiaries, offering essential supplies and support. Additionally, we assist families with school fees, uniforms, and stationery through our Zakah Fund. All maintenance and upgrades to our facilities are undertaken and facilitated by the Phoenix Goorba Society, ensuring the continued support and development of our community infrastructure.
